I've only got good memories of walton. From the early 1960's up to the 1980's, I lived in Walton, close to the park on Walton Hall Avenue. A nice place to grow up, but in the latter years I could not wait to get out. Increasing drug use, violence, and house burglaries. I have never gone back so don't know what it is like now.
County and Walton Road seem to be in terminal decline.
Sad.
I've only got good memories of walton.
The park
The chippies.
The roundabout getting built.
The baths.
Youth Centre
New Years Eve outside the church.
Goodison obviously.
Playing football on the tennis court.
Plenty of busses to bottle for Southport train.
Without being rude about other areas ,I could rattle off plenty that were and possibly still are worse.
*nostalgia eh?
Eric Heffer was a character.
