Want to post something but there isn't a thread that quite fits - thread

1) We've all got to get electric cars by whenever.

Anybody checked to see if theres that much lithium in the world for the batteries.
And will there be enough power to charge them all.

2) (here in Australia at least, 5%(?) of all the garages - small chain/semi independents - sell fuel at a discount.
If; times are so hard and...as the big boys are always telling us...margins are barely break even
Why don't the discount guys go bankrupt

just sayin like

Had the plaster cast taken off my arm today… never known a feeling of pure relief ever in my life
Same here, had mine taken off yesterday morning.

Been sticking pens, cable ties and wire coat hangers down it, because of my arm and wrist constantly itching with the heat. Deffo a winter sport.

Being temporarily one handed also brings a whole new complexity to simple stuff, like getting shaving foam out of the can, shutting the Fit Birds thread in a hurry on the mobile, when the wife walks in and I never did crack the extreme shoelace challenge.

I feel your pain ? . I was in agony last 3 days as my hand had swollen massively and the cast was way too tight …. Top tip for next time… kebab skewers are great for scratching under the plaster ?

No, operation on my hand to fix Dupuytrens Contracture, also known as Viking’s disease.

The fingers get all clawed up, said to only occur in people from countries where the Vikings played away fixtures, back in the old pillaging days.

Thats a double brave right there. For a second I thought it might be for typing this...

Serious note, is it related to arthritis in anyway?

Not related I don’t think. Strings or bands grow under the skin like roots and gradually tighten, pulling the fingers into a claw.

Carrying pint glasses is out of the question. Right hand to be done next, then I can hopefully carry a round of drinks again.
