Anyone know anything about foreign tax identifying numbers ?
If you havent got one am i right in thinking you can just use your National Insurance number?
I am filling out the US W8-BEN tax form and it bending my head

I had to fill in one of these to get some pension overpayments back as cash. I put N/A as I have never resided in the US (not sure why I had to fill it in to be honest).

I reckon your National Insurance number is what they would be after though.
