I think its a clever ploy to lure the Mentalists into a false sense of security....when they come out of the plane Davie Moyes will slap the manager in the face with a giant salmon he's bought from tesco for £3.64.

They'll be back on that plane quicker then anything.

how about playing this;

Neville - Yobo - stubbs - Lescott
- -Cars- -
Arteta - Osman - Baines-
- - AJ- -Yak-

I think Baines looks good going forward and has pace to trouble people. Lescott we know is solid at left back and stubbs will provide a wise head at the back.

Osmans lack of pace wont show up to badly in the middle and he can pass the ball and score too.

what ya reckon?

It also gets all of Moyes' favourites in the squad.

why play baines out of position? he is a left back! let's keep our best players in their best positions.

baines- left back
lescott- centre back

because stubbs can play in the centre of defence well, lescott can play LB well and no-one can play on the left wing worth a damn at the mo'.

Baines could do it, as he has the pace and skill.

No one can play on the left wing?

Mikel's best position, no point moving everyone when everyone can play in those positions already.

Stubbs has been woeful this season.

Arteta been swapping with osman on the left and right wings, so who do you play on the right if Arteta is on the left? Osman?

not strong and quick enough for my liking.

Our tater can play on the right, thats why I thought Baines could play on the left.

christ, I'm getting confused now.

*holds up hands tattooed with "L" and "R" on them*

I'd play Pienaar on the right, far better footballing ability then Leon.

Arteta is good on the right but i think his best is when hes on the left wing.

Isn't Pienaar out for the game?

I was under the impression he was but if he isn't I like Bainsey's idea. Seems to make alot more sense and if Pienaar can capture the form he had whilst at ajax in european football then we'll be sorted.

Not that i'm aware of.

Hes not cup tied, is he rumoured to be injured?

Pienaar has alot more european experience then alot of our players and with his pace and footballing ability i think he could be amazing against more unknown teams.

Yeah says on the os that Howard, Arteta and AJ are too have late fitness tests it also states that Pienaar and Gravo are doubts.

I'd agree with that didn't Nuno play left midfield for us for a couple of friendlies?

I can't quite remember but I'm sure he's played there for us before as an emergency midfielder.

I get the feeling its when we split the squads up for the friendlies.

Nuno has played their in the league before and other competitive games.

In the 3-0 derby win he came on the left wing, against Portsmouth he started on the left wing.

He might not be the most amazing player but going foward his crossing is amazing at times and he has so much European experience aswell.

Yep, he's naturally left footed aswell which would be a bonus as Osman and Pienaar both aren't I think.

Thing with Nuno latley is hes very good going forward but a liability at the back now.

This would see us using him to his strengths and not his weaknesses.
