Was Alan Brazil Right All Along?

Hindsight is wonderful eh?

Weird how there was no clamour forMoyes before he started to do well for West Ham, then all the cry arses come out in force.

Don’t forget either by the way, he’s spent £165m, so it’s not like he’s done it on a shoe string. He also absolutely dumped on us from a great height, and tried to unsettle our best player in Baines.

Yes, he’s doing a good job, but let’s not pretend everyone wanted Moyes over Ancelotti, they didn’t, people didn’t even want Moyes this summer barring a small minority.

I always hang on his every word myself ;) lol

Alan Brazil 'never drunk' claims radio sidekick as he ...

No, he wasn't.

Teams move on, managers do too. Even though we haven't, I doubt we would have under Moyes, either. It's really time to put this to bed. He's doing well, fair play, but he needed fresh pastures too.

And the day I listen to that fat alch has not yet dawned.

ANGRY Alan Brazil sends strong message to Everton fans who don’t want David Moyes back as manager – ‘Get lost you idiots!’

Everton fans who don’t want David Moyes back as manager have been branded ‘idiots’ by talkSPORT host Alan Brazil.

Marco Silva is on the brink of the sack as a thumping 5-2 Merseyside derby defeat to Liverpool saw the Toffees slide into the relegation zone.

The Blues have won just four games all season, and things could get even worse for the club as they now head into a nightmare run of fixtures, with games against Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City all before New Year’s Day.

A host of coaches have already been linked with replacing Silva, with Everton’s next move crucial as they stare down the barrel of a relegation dogfight – and one of them is former boss Moyes.

But despite the Scot enjoying great success during his 11 years at Goodison Park, some fans have voiced their reservation about bringing back the 56-year-old.

And Brazil had a firm message for those supporters on Thursday’s Sports Breakfast, insisting Moyes is the perfect man to save the club from relegation.

The host said: “Some Everton fans have come on already saying – ‘no, no, no, we’re not going back’ – get lost you idiots!

“Look where you are in the table and look at what Davey did for you!”

Speaking later on in the show, Brazil added: “Alright, shall we get Zidane to come and take over at Everton, you tubes?

“Everton are struggling, they’re going down! Who do they want?

“Sean Dyche, Eddie Howe, Chris Wilder – why would any of them want to go to Everton? Why would they want to leave where they are at the moment?

“Everton fans, COME ON! You’re in big trouble!

“How do you know these managers would do great things at Goodison? You know David or Big Sam would keep them up!”

Knew he was right at the time

Moyes is Everton, he's ingrained into the club, knows the place brick to brick and would of loved to have seen him here with actual money to spend and the time to build a real team, something he couldn't do under Kenwright

He deserved another shot after the years he gave us

I think the bigger point was Brazil's view that we couldn't attract anyone else, as per his list of fairly mediocre managers he said we could not get.

Whilst we all know how the movie ended we did in fact attract and appoint ancelotti at that point in time. Pretty much on a par with his sarcastic 'they should get zidane' quote.

If Moyes is Everton, then we must stand for being second best, and no trophies?

We’ve got a great history and we’re not defined by a fella who changed our philosophy to “ Little old Everton”.

The fact we actually challenged under Moyes with what he had to deal with is a miracle

Sorry, what did we challenge for?

The title? Trophies? The fella did a good job, but bottled every opportunity which came his way… FA Cup Final, countless Semi’s, Fiorentina… I could go on.

He’s a good manager but “Is Everton”, come on mate.
