Just watched the Everton 4 - Sunderland 1 again. I swear that the ball off Bracewell to Steven was the best pass I have ever seen. On the volley, his back to the man and it was inch perfect. Genious

State of some of those pitches at the end, like to see Messi et al play on those.

I think they should bring some element of the old pitches back. The varying conditions presented unique tactical challenges.

Now they all play on pitches that are like bowling greens!

Like so many, it’s one of two games I really wish I’d been there for (I was a student in London at the time)
The official video just doesn’t capture that rawness, and I think it’d be the next best thing to being there that night
