Beagrie blammo ; forgot how long Nev could kick the ball.
Just kept on going, like you see sometimes with the javelin.2 monster kicks by Southall! Great finish Beardsley and a rifle by Beagrie.
Funny team that 91-2. Looked good at times but flattered to deceive.

I wonder if the ball is the same weight ?You don't see keepers kick that long these days do you, like Nevs just look about 30 yards longer than normal.

Was at Forest first game of the season for Beardsleys debut, we were singing "he's not ugly anymore"to him .lol Absolutely fantastic player with a great work ethic, a beacon of light in that team,I always think if not for him,Waggy and Big Nev we would have fallen through the trap door that season.Beardsley was just boss. I remember we beat Forest 3-0 at Goodison and Beardsley hit the bar with a stupendous effort. I think Crossley cleared the ball and it fell to Beardsley about 40 yards out whi without looking hit it first time and it hit the top of the bar. It was magical stuff. This was before the likes of Beckham and Rooney made scoring from the half way like look easy!

Anyone know where I can rewatch the classic victory that was Everton (without a striker) vs. Wolves game from this season?
Yep mate I do remember it,I also remember him doing everything on the pitch, taking throw ins, free kicks, corners, penalties, tackling back,it looked as though he was almost trying to get on the end of his own free kicks at times as his team mates barring Waggy and Nev were not on the same planet as him.100% mate without them 3. They were levels above.
Do you ever remember we were on a terrible run and away at Man City. Colin Hendry went up front for City and terrorised us. We got a pen in about the 81st minute which Beardsley absolutely smashed in. Needed geordie balls of steel.

I was amazed we got him, the other lot needed their marbles checking sanctioning that deal, what a talented player he was, just a shame he never played in a decent Everton team. What a pleasure to watch him play mate. Scoring in the Billy Kenny Derby just made it all the sweeter.
A real bad move from Howard selling him even if it was for 1m, he was superb for Newcastle for another couple of seasons and we literally had no spark or creativity then.
