"Watch Classic Matches Again"

My brother , and I had a debate about the much out of favour Tim Howard tonight about bad goal keeping , and he stated the best goal clanger he ever seen was form Gordon West in a early to mid 60's Derby at home at the park end the red lot got a free-kick on the edge of the box at the park end - Westy was organising his wall and the volume of noise was high with their fans behind the goal - Westy was organising the wall when either Ronny Moran or Gordon Milne thundered the ball in to top corner of the goal net and it stuck in the stanchion under the bar -Westy was still preparing himself for the shot - he stood there wondering were the ball was , and Labby had to point out to him they had scored with a thunderbolt shot point to where the ball was! - stuck in the top corner of the net!lol
Does anyone else remember this?

Apart from the 2-2 in 1962 and the grainy footage of Bally scoring in the 67 cup match, is there any footage out there of derby matches from Goodison in the 60s? Obviously, if there was a film of the 4-0 at the pit in 63-64 then that would be just as good!!!

Not seen the 2-2 from 1962, I don't think.

Has it already been posted in this thread?

My brother was at the pit for that 4-0 in 1964 win we went with a make shift team Andy Rankin in goal no recognised fullbacks -He said the 2nd goal by Johnny Morressey was a belter of a goal thunder bolted into the Kop end, Colin Harvey Harvey got the first, Fred Pickering got the third goal , and Derrick Temple got the fourth - ATT-- was 52,619
They came 7th and we came 4th that season - doubt if there was any TV coverage - We sickened them that day!

"Oh Andy is our King":)

That is a bit embarrassing for me.
I remembered (correctly) that King had played up front and scored a hattrick (My one and only time in the Park End that game). However, I somehow had it in my head that Latchford had been injured and King had worn the number 9 shirt that day.
I was so sure of that 'fact' I went so far as to post in the Trivia question thread ''Who scored a hattrick in his only game as Everton number 9?''

Not to worry. His only game as Everton number 10.
