And fantastic memories of a great day in north London
Missed it!! Was literally lost in France in middle of nowhere with French exchange and had to wait for phone call from Madame Allezlesbleus (although she was still mademoiselle something else until the summer!!) when she got home from the match having gone with my late dad and brother!!! Got the call at 10 pm!!!! She was delirious! And fantastic memories of a great day in north London
unreal Allez mate, and so "un-everton"at that time,a winner at the death in extra time?Yup. Incredible. When I got home, I had a MASSIVE headache, couldn't speak very well and my hearing was off. The noise and all the signing was insane. I really do not think I have celebrated a goal more than I did that one, ever. Great times.
Good move. Nowt like the retros in the club shop, it's a proper 80s shirt, none of that cottony rubbishThanks macst. I just ordered one

Watched an everton v Chelsea match at Stamford bridge in our championship Winning season of 84-85 on YouTube a while back. With the facility of 'pausing' footage available to us these days it's amazing how many shocking offside decisions were made by linesmen back then. There were two frighteningly bad off-side decisions made against us that day that deprived one of our lads of a hat-trick (can't remember who it was, might have been trev Steven).
Noticed a lot of these clangers in various vintage matches I've seen on YouTube.
After Inchie scored I knelt on my knees praying facing away from the pitch. I couldn't bear to watch. 9 months earlier we were at rock bottom. That night I stayed in London. It was an outburst of pure emotion. One of my favourite days everunreal Allez mate, and so "un-everton"at that time,a winner at the death in extra time?
