On this day in 1991. Everton played (and won!) while wearing Luton away kits.
Went to this game with a couple of mates 16 years old, put in the Gladys street end by dibble because of trouble outside Everton pub which was attacked by Millwall. There was about 10 of us in your end where we didn't want to be! then attacked by Everton fans, men of about 30 years old who chased us back to the turnstiles where my mate was stabbed with a screwdriver trying to get over turnstile, I escaped ducking down behind programme seller and out through a gate where a steward went out. I spent the day in the hospital looking after my mate missing match. We where just kids put in your end by the police to teach us a lesson when we had not been involved with trouble, police horrible bastards at the time. Never forgot this had to reply as a lot of lies and bigging up the cowards with the knives, that's why there was so much trouble after the game when Millwall fans heard what had happened. My mate never went to football again, sad day.I was there it was a blood bath from 2 -50 PM onwards, mill wall fans tried to take the Gladys street end blood knives flashing I was in the paddock sickening scenes as St. John ambulance went past with blood dripping off the stab wounded millwall fans!

That may have happened in your eyes but as I stated a majority of Millwall fans chanting "were going to take the Gladwys st end"entering that end via the side turnstile by the boys pen Bullens road as we were queuing up to get into the bullens road turnstile side paddick standing area no more than 10 yards away seen many hundreds of Millwall fans entering the Gwladys street end!Went to this game with a couple of mates 16 years old, put in the Gladys street end by dibble because of trouble outside Everton pub which was attacked by Millwall. Thanks for your reply, Your right the majority of Millwall were looking for trouble that day but we were put in that end by police when I said this is the Everton end he said shut up you cockney [Poor language removed] and get in there, I can only say what I saw that day even the Millwall top boys knew not toThat may have happened in your eyes but as I stated a majority of Millwall fans chanting "were going to take the Gladwys st end"entering that end via the side turnstile by the boys pen Bullens road as we were queuing up to get into the bullens road turnstile side paddick standing area no more than 10 yards away seen many hundreds of Millwall fans entering the Gwladys street end!
So much so my older brother quoted are they mad that's the Everton end - chanting that they must be mad!
when we go inside with a side view they were indeed attacked knives flashing on both sides it was over in a matter of minutes with your fans running to the away end ie the stanley park end - and casualties in stretchered with blood dripping through them carried by St John ambulance men - not a nice thing to happen but madness by both sets of fans common sense tells you you do not provoke home supporters in that way - no defence but millwall fans went looking for trouble and they got it - it was sad to witness!
That is a true account!
