Watches

Caveat with that sometimes, though...some manufacturers won't honor warranties on watches bought on the grey market.
Yeah, good point. I suspect none of them will honor a warranty through grey markets sellers, but my experience is that watch warranties are kinda useless as they are usually only a year. Almost any watch will last that long...it's at the 4, 5 year mark when you'll run into potential issues.

I have tried that and it does not work.
Do you mean the product window with adverts that it shows on the google results?

wish.webp

If so, click on the Sponsored info tab at the top right and then the "Why These Ads?" prompt that appears....

And from there you'll have the option of turning off the sites that appear. Scroll down and Wish will be on there somewhere.

They're kind of all over the place; my lone wristwatch (Seiko) has a 3-year, 4 if you register it. The first year is worldwide and the rest are US only. It's just one of those little things to be aware of, especially on pricier ones. You wouldn't expect them to crap out, especially ones with a small amount of complications, but you hear those stories (from pretty much every manufacturer too). The internet can make it seem worse, though...naturally.

I'm heading out the door in about 15 minutes to go up North and do some fishing for a day or 3 and get the feck outta' town. I'll get you some pics of fishing up there and then one of the watch at some point next week when I get back. It's Seiko model SSC745, if you want to Google it. Nothing fancy.

No worries about that mate hope you catch some big fish.

Can anyone who knows a bit about watches tell me what Audemars Piguet watches are like please.

I don’t think I’ve seen them mentioned in this thread and at the cost they are I thought they would have been.
Nice watches mate, the Royal Oak is quite iconic. Usually in the 10k plus bracket though...

AP are probably one of the finest watch makers on the planet, base models for something like their Royal Oak collection you’re looking at around £15-£19k

Patek Phillipe is another one, some lovely watches but the craftsmanship is just immense
