I’ve had several Rolex watches (Sub, Deepsea and Milguass) but now have an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean which is the best watch I’ve ever owned. If you know what you’re doing, like top-end microphones/guitars/art, they’ll retain their value or even appreciate. I always think, if I need the money (which I probably will sooner rather than later in the current climate) I can sell it for pretty much what I paid for it.

Two of my mates have the same Rolex and on the way to a stag do a couple of years ago they must have talked about them for over an hour. I couldn’t wait to get out of the car.

One refers to it as his ‘Rolo’.
