A lot of negativity on here
Well founded too
Anyone expecting Everton to show up against Watford is letting hope kill them.
One thing I'm positive about? Everton will disappoint.

we will open the game bossing possession, moving the ball around nicely, and generally dominating them, but in 30 minutes we create just a solitary chance, which we shockingly fail to convert. then in first half stoppage time, watford punt one long; it bounces off Barry's head towards Funes Mori, who lunges wildly and misses; whereupon Stekelenberg comes out to collect but somehow drops it onto an oncoming Deeney, who groins it in for the all-too-likely unlikely opener.

in the second half, Barkley comes on and drives the ball forward before both A) dribbling around aimlessly while the move breaks down and then losing possession and falling over and B) smashing it from distance into row Z (for a Watford throw-in). then deulofeu comes on and performs A but not B. as we grow desperate our discipline breaks down and we hoof it ineffectually at Lukaku. he is never in the box when we launch crosses, and we never launch crosses when he is in the box. finally in the 89th minute, we equalize through sheer dumb luck and either A) hold on to the draw or B) concede again in stoppage time through sheerer, dumber luck, depending on whether the glass is half full or empty.

Gana is magnificent throughout the proceedings.
And people accuse Koeman of not having a game plan...!

Stekelenburg

Holgate - Williams - Funes Mori - Baines

Davies - Gana - Barry - Mirallas

Valencia - Lukaku

Honestly think Davies has the energy and fearlessness to do a job on the right. Plus he could always move inside to form a three and Valencia shift out wide if we're under the kosh.

This won't be the team like obviously. Coleman will start and probably Cleverley or Lennon will start wide.

We'll win comfortably tomorrow with Barkley back in to boss it. I predict 3-1 with Barkley, Valencia and Rom to pop one each in the onion bag.
Then, on Tuesday a scrappy one-nil victory in front of a rabid Goodison to set us up nicely for the Shyte the following week.

Thought I'd try the old Magic 8 app again.

SAKE

I am fairly sure that Elton was still "straight" at this point but, picture 4 does give away his future sexual status slightly.

Funnily enough ,I met Elton in a pub in Watford around the time of this photo. I was working down there and went to a friendly at Vicarage Road...Wolves had signed a Watford player and part of the deal was that Wolves would play a pre season game against Watford. Elton played for about 30 mins....no one tackled him, just allowed him to pass the ball on! After the game I went for a pint and next thing, Elton John is standing next to me ordering a drink. Very nice suit he had on, even then Had a few words with him and he left. Cue assorted hilarity on here as the jokers try to outdo each other..........:):)

Everything will go in our favor tomorrow. Lukaku to score 2, Barkley to boss the show and score a wonder goal........ and Baines to score from a free kick. 1-4.
