£12 million for Rooney
£10 million for Calvert Lewin
£10 million for Niasse

Over £30 million for three bum centre forwards.

Reinvest that in a top quality centre forward who can push/rotate with Tosun for the number 1 spot.

Going to be interesting to see how he copes with the high tempo footy of the MLS, and even worse for him, the soaring heat he'll be playing some games in.
People still have this impression that it is a retirement league that Beckham was able to play in until about 38.

What few people outside of the US realize is how Beckham really had to work to make sure he could hack it and stand out because the pace of the league is similar to the Prem. What they lack in skill in some MLS teams they definitely make up for in athleticism and the game is played at a high pace and usually in quite high temperatures.

I don't understand why they feel they have to play at that pace, it even happens in the amateur levels here in Canada. I don't get it when you have to deal with that heat and humidity in most places. There's a reason the South Americans play a slower game and only turn the pace on to quickly beat a man rather than playing the whole match like that.

Lampard and Gerrard were quickly found out and roundly jibbed off when they were seen not to be up to the pace of it, Pirlo was the same as well.

£30m doesn' get you top quality these days mate. £30m gets you Troy Deeney.

£38 million can get you a Salah if you have the foresight to scout right. We as you say have spent largely in the over inflated PL market.

Willian Jose from Real Sociedad is the one for me - 15 goals last season, 19 in this one, only about 26 and more suited to the prem physically than Sandro.

Oh and yeah flog Sandro for another £6-7 million on top of the other 3.

It looks like Rooney is going on a free.

I think we would get at least 15 million for Niasse, but I think he is worth keeping.

I'm not sure anyone would be paying that much for Calvert Lewin, but he's also worth keeping right now.

If fat Sam stays, he leaves. Personally I don't want him to leave, but he can't play Midfield. He's a #10. He we had an actual proper striker and played positive football I think he's an asset. But it depends on a manager playing positive football

I think it's right he should go.

Here's a fact though: his goals and form in the first half of the season kept our heads above water and we were in REAL trouble without them.

Now we just need Baines, Williams, Jagielka to sling their 'kin hooks too.

Totally agree. Rooney. He did well start season and scored some important goals.

As long as jags and baines and that standard of player are in our first 11 we are a mid table team at best.

To me it looks like its a £12 million fee but we will be paying 50k a week towards his wages.

Good deal that considering we'll still be saving 100k a week and got him on a free in the first place.

Calvert Lewin is young and Enlgish he'll easily go for that when the likes of Ross McCormack and Connor Wickham went for more. Don't think we'll sell him mind.

DC in the summer is absolutely disgusting. Imagine him playing in 35 C heat with 90% humidity at his less-than-ideal fitness levels. I don’t know if an MLS player has ever thrown up on the pitch before but he could be the one.
I saw the blues play DC United at RFK Stadium a few summers back, it was 107 degrees in the old money and 98% humidity. they all nearly threw up!

You can rotate who you like but with our midfield ?? whoever will only get one clear cut chace in front of goal..we are short of ideas not front men to finish em
