I agree. It's also highly likely to happen. No manager in the right mind would want to keep Rooney on so that he can stink the place out and undermine the manager.

He's also one of the few we've got who knows what is required to play and win at the highest level.
And then there's the pesky issue of all those stats of his for the season.
Is he the main issue why we've had a shocking season? No. He's helped keep us afloat. He's not the problem, it's most of the rest around him who are (including the management).
Me, I'd keep him with an eye to coaching and development.

You want him to be teaching our future prospects? Couldn't think of a worse role model, tbh. Fat, drunk slob who thinks it's okay to jump behind the wheel of a car while bevied and smoke as a professional athlete.

Niassé would have produced equally, if not more, than Rooney had he been given his opportunities this season.

I got a phone call about 20 minutes ago and only seen this once I got off the phone . The lad has had a ‘source’ at FF for a few years but his success rate hasn’t always been right . But more often right than wrong .

I was amazed he had the ball'es to come back. Could of at least stayed until he was 21/22 and then left, and then an extremely poor transfer fee on top aswell. Given that players like vieri and crespo were around the 35m mark at the time.
