That's not what he's saying. What he's saying is, if he's not an automatic starter next season then he doesn't want to be a part of it.

On a positive note, he offered more this season than when Michael Owen went to Stoke when surplus to Utds requirements.

I hope he parts on good terms and there is no mud slinging from either side. I've aimed some bin related grief his way in a couple of threads the last few days, but I don't think he was entirely terrible. I'm just not convinced he has the legs to command a starting place. Which is what he desires. If doesn't want to have his game time managed (which is where I suspect he'd be most useful for us) then something has to give.

If the club gave Rooney conformation BFS is going, he stays and starts putting in the type of performances he was doing right up to the day BFS was appointed.

Gutted it hasn't worked out. It's far from being Rooney's fault though.

He joined when optimism was still high and we all expected better...we now have BSA, no Europe, Farhad's clueless leadership, no Barkley, no Lukaku and will probably sign grock's linked with Brighton and Huddersfield.
