Can't see him hanging on now that the man that brought him to the club has gone. I am sure he his thinking a new manager will want to stamp his authority on the squad and having someone like Rooney around may hamper that process.

Kenwright hasn't gone ??

Can still make a contribution by wearing his "Everton 'jammies" and letting us know about it when we finally break the trophy drought. Now off DC, lad.

Surely worth keeping for another season whilst rebuilding is happening..

Although he does need to accept he is not always going to play...

Experienced player can contribute 10-15 goals & play an important part most weeks...

... or the new manager will think he could be a vital player for us. He was doing well (goal and assist wise) before lard-yce came in, maybe his legs went or maybe it was just the manager.

Very much depends on who the next manager is. I am not sure there is a place in any top Premier League team for a player like Rooney. He could stay and play against bottom half sides but I am not sure he would accept that.

Top goalscorer with assists, hat triick against West ham & goal of the season...

Still can be a big threat if used & played correctly...

yeah i know, i think he'd be happy playing 15 games a season for us if he won an FA Cup though. I still think he has a lot of uses, we're not exactly strapped for cash and he has that winning mentality we can't really attract at the moment.

Kept us in the running early in the season. Fell off the cliff when Allardyce took total control. Still our leading goal scorer I believe. I still see some value in him. I know the fans are divided on this issue but that's my feelings at present.
