This means SAMs staying.

No it doesnt. Silva and Fonseca both like a high tempo pressing style (not sure about the Porto guy but he probably does too) and Rooney doesnt have the legs to play that way. He's not cut out for the pace and energy of the Premier League now regardless of who manages us.

We certainly pandered to his and Bill's emotional want by allowing him here for a season, personally I didn't want him back and said so at the time, it's all very Everton, if he loves us so much why do we still have to pay a proportion of his wages? Just go Wayne let us bank £12m, tear up your contract and let's pretend it never happened.

It says 12m deal so I’m guessing that is what his wages would be over the two/three years he signs? Or have we actually agreed to sell him for 12m?

The faint hope is that his signing was the last vestiges of the sentimental crap from 'Blue Bill' and the last time we make a decision for any reason other than footballing reasons.

Moshiri needs to get his finger out this summer and start making the right calls - that is, of course, if he isn't the total fraud I believe him to be.

Glad we got to see him play in blue again, but past it now at this level, and has probably slowed our game down too much in the 2nd half if the season.
