Im ok with his departure no hard feelings at all. Just cant understand why some chaps are tying it to Sam and to the rumour he has been given the nod. Not buying it.

I sense something underhanded about this. He couldn’t wait to come back and now he’s off.
I can’t make out if it’s to do with fat head or has a new manager stated he’s no future.

Probably the latter I think mate. He spoke with Koeman a lot before he came and was promised a big role. Ronald then got the boot and Sam came in whom he has an uneasy relationship with but at least knew. Now a completely new manager with fresh ideas is likely going to come in and Wayne has seen the writing on the wall, he knows he'd have to prove himself all over again and any European manager who likes a pressing style isn't likely to have much use a for 32-year old like him.

Believe, he's jumping BEFORE he's pushed. No doubt Kenwright will be in floods of tears.

Maybe he's simply finally realised that he's long since finished at this level and his agent has convinced him that a move to the States would be massively beneficial to him from a financial aspect.

12 million. Great result if true
here is my fantasy summer.

Rooney.............£12m DC United
Williams............£6m Wolves (hometown club looking for a bit of experience)
Mirallas.............£8m West Ham (C'mon Davey)
Sandro..............£10m Some Spanish club
Schneiderlin.......£17m West Ham (Good ol' Davey)
Besic.................£8m Middlesbrough
Niasse...............£12m Some Turkish or Russian club
Funes Mori.........£20m Some Italian club
Bolasie..............£10m Crystal Palace (Saha's replacement)
McCarthy............£15m Newcastle Utd (maybe January sale)
Martina...............Free Anyone who'll take him
Jagielka..............Free Sheffield United
Keane................£10m Burnley
Tarashaj.............£3m Some German Club
Robles.................Free Some Spanish club (would keep him as number 2 personally)

Add in another half dozen or more U23s who will either be sold or released and bring in maybe another £5/6m), that's 20+ from the playing staff, around £1m+ pw off the wage bill, and upwards of £130m in transfer fees.

Given the current transfer fees being paid I don't think those quoted are too far off the mark. Niasse has done himeself no harm this season and Schneids return to form of late will ensure he'll have some suitors. If funes Mpri get's game time at the WC there'll be interest in him. McCarthy's injury may prove a problem but the one that concerns me the most is Bolasie.

Agreed, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that Jagielka is a useless captain and a coward on the pitch.

The only two players with a bit of bite are Pickford and Coleman.

Seriously or is this a wind up?

Jagielka is certainly past it; his legs are gone, and there is not much to be done but move him on.

However; he has done nothing but memorably lead by example; showcasing strong work ethic and resounding character. He puts more effort in than any player on the pitch and it is not even close. Think of the number times he has thrown his body about with reckless abandon to make an interception, tackle or a block. Consider the massive number of games he’s played injured because we have nothing by cowards at his position.

Seriously, have a word with yourself before posting again. I won’t abide the utter garbage your posting about one of our most heroic players.

Not a chance we get £10m for Bolasie.

Hahaha. Ok mate.

The man shirks his responsibility as a captain.

I remember Diego Costa having a go at Seamus once and Tim Howard had to stand up for him. Jagielka was nowhere to be seen.

Coward of a player and one of the worst Everton captains I have ever seen.

Really ?

Jags was nowhere to be seen ?

Come on mate, we all saw him...

On the half way line, tying his laces.
