I think it could work. Koeman seems to have Barkley looking fit and sharp, I'm sure he can get the most out of whatever's left in Rooney's tank. Also, now that he's broken records for club and country, maybe motivation isn't what it could be now, this wouldn't be the case if he moved here. He knows he'll have to run through walls to keep the street end happy

Not saying anything about it besides judging someone purely on goalscoring in the French league isn't really the best criteria.

falcao has been brilliant this season and rooney wouldnt get on for psg wise up. did you miss them destroy barca too?
 
I don't often do this, but I'm changing my mind. I was thinking, this morning that it's time to renew my season ticket and the thought of Rooney lining up just besides Lukaku is exciting. Still not overly happy that Davies or Lookman may have to forgo important playing time. But ok....

I'm sure Rooney would up his game ten fold if he decided to come here. If he made that decision it would be made to win us back by doing it out on the field . Personally I wouldn't forgive him less he won something with us.

Which is exactly the point lad, falcao was written off as finished after two awful seasons - far far worse seasons than Rooney has had, yet at the same age as Rooney is has just produced a great season in the French league. So given that very direct comparison why so convinced Rooney couldn't do similar?

Did I say Rooney would play for psg? Dint think so, I stated if he played for them then like ibra did and like falcao is doing at Monaco, then he would score a load of goals in that league.
 
are people really going to continually argue about rooney being good enough or not for us, for the next 3 or 4 months before we can even start thinking about singing him. Seems a waste of time when after all this, in 6 months time he may not even be coming here.

falcao was written off due to injuries, im writing rooney off cos he was in serious decline over last 2-3 seasons.
you think he'd score a load of goals there but i have a different opinion, he would just blunt their attacks and soon be dropped.

I don't think it is a rubbish comparison to be fair, I work with loads of ManU fans and none of them were happy that they were getting him because of his age.
