Transfer Rumour Wayne Rooney

Won't be long until after his first goal maybe vs Sunderland he becomes better than Mkhitaryan and Mata on this place.

Jokes aside would prefer him to remain in the league just to see how he would age.

you've actually watched him over the last few yrs, is he good enough in your opinion to start for a top 6 PL team?

Cant understand any problem in this lad for a season or 2. Bang him up front in the cups esp in europe if we get a place where his experience would help. A great addition and have no doubt he would want to win every match. A least 2 seasons in him. No one is saying he is still a world beater but 10 times better than what our current back up is and would promote the club around the world. That in itself could attract some top youngsters we might want at our club

History suggests winning stuff and having global support gets you better commercial deals. Gazza was a similar situation to Rooney, a great player on the way down when he came here, we never got a massive shirt deal off the back of it. Personally I just don't see Rooney generating the club that much money.

All due respect, Everton and the PL are light years more popular globally than when Gazza played here. Especially in the US. Apples and Oranges. Even Americans who don't know much about footie can probably name Wayne Rooney.

I suspect the commotion on here from some is very similar to that amount amongst ManU fans when they heard one of the richest clubs on the planet wa sspunking top wages on a 35/36 year old Ibrahimovic? I believe Rooney can still do a good job for us, I also believe that any games the likes of Davies or Barkley missed would be more than balanced out by what they would learn from training alongside a player of his Calibre?

When all is said and done, if Koeman decides he wants him and Rooney is up for it, I just want him to do well for us. If he doesn't, then all the haters can have the time of their lives crucifying him, win-win surely?

rubbish comparison, ibrahimovic was still the best striker in france last season. rooney isnt even the best at anything at 6th placed manchester united.

haha did you miss monaco destroy spurs?!

Nope mate, but the fact falcao who was absolutely dreadful in this league has scored 21 for them already this, season maybe says a lot about the standard, Rooney playing for PSG would score a shedload in that league.

Not saying anything about it besides judging someone purely on goalscoring in the French league isn't really the best criteria.
