I remember a journo visited Bellefield when Rooney was breaking through. Journo commented that Moyes noted he was sluggish in training and was shouting at him to cut the Maccy D's out.
 
Whilst this may contradict popular forum opinion, that first half has showed he can still pick a pass.
He has obviously lost a yard of pace but his brain hasn't slowed down and anything United have looked like creating first half has come through him (Martial Chance / Bailly chance both from great Rooney passes).

If the price/deal is right still has a lot to offer our squad (which will have hopefully 15-20 more games next year from deep cup runs).
Also think will be important off the pitch if he comes
