Haha, he's ok. I didn't like him much in 2004 but I've mellowed since then. He was a fantastic player but he's past it now.
We shouldn't even be entertaining this deal unless it's a loan with us paying a fraction of his weekly wage.
He would improve our squad but so would a lot of other players. The other players may also improve gradually compared with Rooney's steady decline. They will also have sell on fees and not demand wages on equal par with players who are trying to win the league.

Personally I've done a complete U turn on this. Was in favour of him returning if we got the financials right, but I'm now concerned about his fitness levels over the last 18 months. He's an upgrade on the back up we have at the moment, but we need to do better.
If he does come though he'll get my 100% support.

That does actually make sense. Otherwise it's a very strange photograph. I'm not sure on him. Brilliant player in his prime, a massive blue, irrespective of his move away, but just don't know what he could offer other than an increase in quality of squad depth. Wouldn't be adverse if the deal was right for us.
