Transfer Rumour Wayne Rooney

Totally agree. He was superb.

He doesn't have the pace that he had when he was 18, but his overall game is as good as it ever has been.

You watch the current Everton side and just think we need a player with brains like Schneiderlin further up the defence to open teams up

You can see Wayne's mega footy brain working overtime. Last night the perfect example.

He was an exciting talent when he with us.But the day's of us accepting cast off's from Manchester United should be over. The big pay off in the USA is the next stop for Wayne. The day's of Wayne Rooney destroying defences are over. The only thing i can see Wayne Rooney destroying nowadays is a Big Mac and large fries.Seriously move on.The days of Everton being a retirement home for players on the way down are over.

He could have been a truly great player. Remember the young lad who had the crowd on their feet every time he got the ball? He swapped all that for a great career instead. Allowed himself to be moulded into what Manchester United needed him to be. Never became what he might have. Too late now. What a waste...

tbf, what more could he have achieved? When he was young he always seemed a great great player, but he never seemed like a naturally great goalscorer, yet he's still become the record every scorer for england's most successful club and the national team. He's won every cup there is to win as a domestic player (bar the europa which he may win in a couple of weeks time). He's not exactly been a waste has he? Yeah, he could have made his career last a bit longer, but he has nothing left to win. He can't win an intentional tournament because he plays for a bad international team, so that can't really be used to beat him with and i can't see anything else.

Yeah, I almost feel sorry for him. Sure, he's won so much and achieved so much but the love that fans, even neutrals, have for the player that astonishes with something that seems almost supernatural, he never got once he left here.

Left here far too soon.

And arriving at Old Trafford around the same time as Ronaldo did meant his game suffered as CR7's took off.
