Transfer Rumour Wayne Rooney

Ronaldo at 33 is fitter than Rooney was at 28

Ronaldo is a freak but in any case Wayne Rooney has never made less than 25 appearances per season between 2002-2017. Like I said, England and Man Utd's all-time record goalscorer. Getting him on a free or a pittance would only be good for the team and the club as a whole. People like to call him fat, or slow, he's neither, his game has adapted and he is a total team player. I am not being sentimental because he supports Everton, I am being logical. Just because he hasn't scored 30 goals a season for a while doesn't mean he doesn't influence matches or set up attacks and goals. Yes he's no Ronaldo or Messi, but he's the next best thing.

This.

Rooney was playing Premier League footy at 16. To date he has 15 years of mileage on the clock and counting, not to mention playing major international tournaments every second off season (not that he ever did much).
FYI ronaldo has 80 odd more senior appearances than Rooney does at club level

Not disagreeing with the point you make - and Ronaldo is superiorly fitter than most players of his age but l guess that may be something genetic as well as hard work - but the Fat Lad has played all his football in renowndly the hardest and fastest league in the world. Can't really say that about La Liga where players have time to stroll around and look good.

Surprised you didn't delete after reading that bit back to yourself.
