His worst game for us thus far.

He simply had to lead the line today properly instead of being braindead and dropping deep. He's got to trust his teammates to do their job and get on with doing his own.

He hasn't. I'd hook him off at half time for Mirallas and push a natural centre-forward in Calvert-Lewin up top instead. And so would most reasonable managers looking at the situation.

I can't see a role for Rooney in this team.

Simply not a number 9. I've no doubt he wasn't brought in to play there often, but our failure to sign a striker sees him forced to start there most weeks. He could be very good as a ten, but his lack of pace makes him easy to defend against when he's isolated against centre backs.
