No mate, 2 competitive games, that is what he has played for us thus far.

He got 5 goals and 5 assists last season in a season he was used sparingly.

That's 3 assists less than Barkley but same goals.

He will do a job for us over the season and chip in, his professionalism will be there for all to see. He isn't the player he was that is obvious, but he is still a decent premier league footballer.
'A decent Premier League footballer'.

Are we Burnley now?

it was his passing which let him down last night. we all know how good a passer he is, and this doesn't rely on pace or strength, so I think he was just over anxious to impress

Even Mourinho said recently that Rooney is a player who needs to be playing, sitting on the bench or in the stands is no good to him.

He didn't play much last season and is working his way back now. I think it will take another three or four games before we really know what we have on our hands as a player.
I think when he gets to full fitness we will be pleasantly surprised.

At the moment is there a single player(possibly apart from Davies and maybe Keane) who is impressing ?

Spot on mate regarding the only ones who have looked at a good level which is why it shows us that the majority of players are still finding their feet and fitness

RedCafe's Rooney thread is interesting:

RK's job will be on the line if he persists with Wayne.
All depends on who was the main driver in his being signed... if he was signed as a vanity/ sentimental/Kenwright thing, all Koeman has to say is 'I told you so'...if it was all Koeman/Walsh??

You can't judge a player 4 games into preseason. We wont know for sure what Wayne has in the tank until October when he has had a couple of months of regular football. What we have learned is that he cant play center forward anymore.

The game next Sunday will give us a far better idea of where we are.

Playing " no hopers " can be very difficult and even more so when you are trying to build your team in the preseason as well as build fitness and integrate almost half a team into the group at the same time.

All that being said , I would like to see some serious improvement in our play at the weekend.

Quoting RedCafe haha Rooneys a scouser, leave them to it
So you disagree with their opinion?

It's got nothing to do with Rooney being a Scouser, that's just paranoid nonsense. It's because Rooney resembles a Championship footballer at best these days.
