In fairness to Rooney, he spoke with intelligence on his appearance on MNF some time ago and he obviously commands respect from all dressing rooms he’s been in.

I think he'd be great in the academy mate. Should earn his stripes there, and if he's good enough he will get opportunities to move up.

Maybe not manager but you never know. He s played the game a long time and seen it all develop over a span of over 15 years. He can read the game and has worked with the best. See what happens

Youth players have commented on what a good influence he’s been since he came back. His legs have gone so I want him gone as a player ASAP but I wouldn’t be opposed to him coming back as a coach.

If his top level coaching skills are going to be in such high demand then he will surely be able to take his pick from the numerous other clubs that will want to take him on as a coach, and he won't need to rely on his identity as an Evertonian in order to get himself yet another payday from the club.

Maybe Manchester United will have him back.

Maybe he's not a good coach, nobody knows, just because he was a great player doesn't automatically make them a great coach or manager. If it turns out he is when he has his badges by all means let him come back, he's a high profile after all.

I have never hid my dislike for the bloke but Wayne Rooney is far from an idiot.
