After Duncan's testimonial a spark had been reignited and Wayne was back in love with Everton.

He's here to win trophies and he will only leave if either he can no longer physically give 100% for Everton as his game is all about speed, power and intensity.

Or he feels that Everton have stagnated and don't want to push for trophies each years.

I have a feeling if we get LVG Rooney will be sticking around and fans will be suprised what be can do with an attacking manager

As Rooney most likely will leave Everton soon, here is a reminder of the difference that he had made for Everton this past season.

With his goals, Rooney has contributed 7 points difference to Everton in these matches:

Stoke : 1-0 (2 points)
City : 1-1 (1 point)
Brighton : 1-1 (1 point)
Liverpool : 1-1 (1 point)
Newcastle : 1-0 (2 points)

Everton finished 8th in the table with 49 points, without the 7 points and his other goals, Everton would be 13th in the table, with the same points as West Ham but worse goal difference.

Most fans agree that Everton played/would play better without Rooney. These are the 11 matches in the past season that Everton started without Rooney:

Burnley : 0-1, 1-2
Crystal Palace : 2-2
Southampton : 1-4, 1-1
Chelsea : 0-0
WBA : 0-0, 1-1
Bournemouth : 1-2
Arsenal : 1-5
West Ham : 1-3

Without Rooney slowing the attack and his horrible passes however, Everton only got 5 points from the 11 matches, with 6 losses, 5 draws, 9 goals scored and 21 goals conceded.

The influence of a player might be felt when he's gone, his replacement needs to be a quality player who doesn't have to adapt to the league for another season, someone like Mahrez maybe?

No room for sentiment in football. He didn't have any for us first time around when he couldn't leave quick enough.

Bad signing to begin with. No room for sentiment in football, Bill might think so. It was never gonna work. His legs had gone a good 6 months before joining us. Any Utd fan will tell you that. This transfer window is so important to get right. Another one like the last could see us in the doldrums for years. We’ve got so much rubbish in an extremely unbalanced squad. It needs massive changes. But the amount of changes needed in such a short period, you very rarely hit the ground running, it takes time. I’m still quite fearful for what lies ahead in the short term.

Good analysis matey, serious food for thought there.

The 11 matches without him speak volumes.
 
People saying "without Rooney" - do they think that means we would have had 10 men if he wasn't playing? lol

We'd have had an actual player with the ability to run and move effectively on the field. Without him we'd have been higher than Burnley imo.
