My thoughts are with him and his family today. We had a Welsh/ Wrexham connection which we sometimes exchanged posts about but it is humour, humility and the way he fought so hard in such difficult times that I will remember . He was truly an inspiration to many people. So sad at such a young age, you will be sorely missed mate.

The guy spoke from the heart and used his own experience and battle to try (and succeed) in helping others, no better legacy can be said of a man than that, there's a lot of blues he has touched and who will remember his courage and dignity.

Amazing how much his words have helped so many people.

I hope Michael's contribution encourages more people to contribute to this thread, either in asking for advice or acting as an "advisor" and helping another blue.

What a fantastic legacy he will have left us if that happens.

We all have our problems in life but his steely resolve to make the best of a bad thing is what struck me most. Even to the end - and you could read it in his final postings - when he had all but given up he still managed to show humanity towards others and did not express any bitterness at his plight. Mike shared it with me so I can point him out to everyone. I forgot I had kept it and coincidentally I was on the computer looking at pics and it just appeared the day we learnt of his passing. Amazing.
