55mph gusts and a wind chill of -10° this side of the Irish Sea. I can’t even find my wheelie bin nevermind even imagine trying to play football in that.
….i’m guessing Navan races will be off, a few of my Cheltenham selections running today.

Just caught the trampoline trying to make a run for it over next doors fence.Yep sounds like our patio furniture might be at the Asda now, too scared to check - Mrs will kill me (“won’t go anywhere that love”)
Navan is similarly inland like me but I would say it’s unlikely to proceed. Nothing on RTE about it yet though.….i’m guessing Navan races will be off, a few of my Cheltenham selections running today.
I could explain how I live close to the river, it’s our usual walk and whatnot… but my wife probably succinctly said it when she called me a bellend. What made you walk the prom out of choice in this
Saying there's no inspection planned !….i’m guessing Navan races will be off, a few of my Cheltenham selections running today.
I was very impressed by your dedication to the GOT masses by putting yourself in harms way to report on the weather for us.I could explain how I live close to the river, it’s our usual walk and whatnot… but my wife probably succinctly said it when she called me a bellend.
It’s a lot worse now than an hour ago, as well.
Yer good points them tbhIf this isn’t going ahead, they have left it too late to announce, IMO. People are coming from all over for this match - especially this season.
The danger is in the journey as much as it is in and around Goodison. There will be plenty of blues travelling from the red warning zone - which is pointlessly dangerous if they’re going to cancel it.

Gore-texJust a thought, if everyone brings their old 90’s berghaus, we could zip them all together into one huge gore-tex blanket. Easy to do. Hoist it up and tie it near the top of each stand, makeshift roof. Now, that will also block out a lot of light, so whichever stand is nearest to the ball in play turns on their phone cameras, dynamic floodlighting. Game goes ahead, you’re welcome.
We’ve had this with youth football. If you call it a day or two in advance, you’re slammed if the weather is then fine, so people wait to see.Surely people need to use their common sense and not travel when the government is advising against it ?
Sometimes storms can pass and not hit as expected, if they’d cancelled it last night and then it wasn’t as bad this morning there’d be uproar.
Well Everton, Liverpool, the league and the police have a responsibility to take that decision out their hands.Surely people need to use their common sense and not travel when the government is advising against it ?
