Yeah they are all fair points which I agree with. I think they are basing their decision on the conditions around goodison, with 40,000 walking around with the potential to be hit by flying debris. But I agree with you, doesn’t help anyone travelling from worse off areas. If this isn’t going ahead, they have left it too late to announce, IMO. People are coming from all over for this match - especially this season.
The danger is in the journey as much as it is in and around Goodison. There will be plenty of blues travelling from the red warning zone - which is pointlessly dangerous if they’re going to cancel it.
Trains are running. It's on baby

Surely people need to use their common sense and not travel when the government is advising against it ?
Sometimes storms can pass and not hit as expected, if they’d cancelled it last night and then it wasn’t as bad this morning there’d be uproar.
Bang on 8am looks like a scheduled post…
Yer but surely could be overrided?Bang on 8am looks like a scheduled post…
Depends if the social media manager is up.Yer but surely could be overrided?
Well it's on until it's called off, so they're obviously still waiting on the decision maker to officially call it.Bang on 8am looks like a scheduled post…
What the club need to do is post a “it’s on” or “it’s off,” post specifically.
Well Everton, Liverpool, the league and the police have a responsibility to take that decision out their hands.
There will be people for whom being there today of all days is something they are willing to take big risks for.
8 am dosent help the people it needs to help thoughAs I said, if you’re travelling from several hours away in these conditions you need to take some personal responsibility.
There was a storm earlier in the year that didn’t hit anywhere near as hard where I live as the weather predicted the day before. In that example the game would have been cancelled for no reason.
They can hardly have cancelled it at 3am, just not practical. 8am considering the decision requires input from police among others is pretty reasonable.
