A mate and I were out the other year on in a pub, and we met this group of girls who turned out were in a metal band who were playing in a metal festival in a pub that evening they put us on the guest list and said we could come see them play. We laughed and thought it was all a joke

We carried on drinking for a few more hours and then we went there, couldn't find them anywhere but then it turns out they were playing. They got us on stage and we were dancing with them and playing the air guitar like we were really cool. We are not metal looking people and even though it was funny at the time, it's still one of the most cringe things I have ever done and it still makes my toes curl

When I was at a different job, I was made the person who did the collections for birthdays, which I was fuming about. So I made a spreadsheet which showed the amount each person got, and I put it in a public folder so anyone could click on it and see

People were fuuuuming but I wouldn't delete it lol

That is some top quality aggro. If you'd have listed in a league table most to least liked/collected, it'd have been a classic. Sometimes doing a job badly is the best way of getting rid...

Not weird behaviour, but a weird story.

In secondary school, we had a genuine 'high school sweetheart' in our class. Sara Beswick. She was very, very attractive, always a good student, did sports stuff and every lad in school was desperate to finger her.

However, her, her older sister (Anna-Lisa, also proper fit) her mum (didn't see her, but it was obviously a given) and dad were Mormons so any kind of dalliance was highly unlikely. Note: They were the only Mormons anyone knew about at the time.

Anyway, imagine our sadness when on the last day of 3rd form (I have no idea what year that is in today's numbers) she announced her and her family were moving away and how much she'd enjoyed her time (2 years) with us. Even Everton being amazing didn't help the kick in the nuts this news brought about.

Over the summer the sadness slowly lifted and we (mates and I) started to look forward to school in September. Imagine our surprise when we walk into the form room and who's sitting there?

The beautiful Sarah Beswick!!!!

"You said you were leaving over the summer? What are you doing here?"

“what?"

“You said in May you were leaving"

"We've only just moved here!"

"Come off it, Sarah!"

"My name is Nadine, Nadine Gill."

Mental. A genuine clone. Very very weird. Anyway, we came to accept it was just a weird coincidence, after after being a little of-fhand she grew to be just as popular as Sarah. I don't think anyone ever fingered her though, she was a mormon too.

Now THAT'S weird. (not the religion, the chances.)

As its the weird behaviours thread, I appreciate you can easily class this as weird behaviour, continuing the play this out in my mind almost 40 years later. Obvs, Google, Linked in, Facebook etc doesn't throw up and possible matches. The Sarah/Nadine mormon cloning experiment will be on my mind until I'm dead.

My work has a "flower fund" where we are to contribute 10 dollars yearly for bereavement/flowers for colleagues who have had family members die. I dislike it because I don't feel the need to broadcast deaths in my family to colleagues. If someone dies in my family, I don't want a generic set of flowers and a card signed by a bunch of people I rarely or never interact with.

I guess there is a nice idea in there somewhere but it is very weird, and would def be the same as you

I'm absolutely terrible at disclosing my private life at work to most people, I used to think it was fine but I recently got in an awkward situation with a person who I used to go on small group lunches with, chats in the kitchen etc who didn't know I had a gf and a kid - which is wild in a way. But I'm still not really much better at it, as I very recently found out a guy I am actually see for a drink out of work also didn't know I had a kid

I'm just really paranoid of boring people to death about kid stories etc

Although my gf is no better, the other year a colleague asked her if 'Sam' (my name) was male or female lol
