I second this. I feel her presence was a healthy mechanism for males to learn how to behave around women bold in their sexuality. Many may now think twice about sketchy dms, for example.

Another weird lodger story :

A mate of my missus split up with her fella, leaving her with a big mortgage to pay, so she rents out a room to a very quiet young lad from work.

For all intents and purposes, the lad is the perfect tenant. Pays on time, keeps himself to himself etc.

After a few months, he announces that he’s met a girl and is moving out.

No problems, except when the house owner goes to clear his room out, she finds dozens of empty bottles under his bed filled with piss

Turns out the reason he was so quiet, was he was pissing into bottles rather than using the bog lol

A mate and I were out the other year on in a pub, and we met this group of girls who turned out were in a metal band who were playing in a metal festival in a pub that evening they put us on the guest list and said we could come see them play. We laughed and thought it was all a joke

We carried on drinking for a few more hours and then we went there, couldn't find them anywhere but then it turns out they were playing. They got us on stage and we were dancing with them and playing the air guitar like we were really cool. We are not metal looking people and even though it was funny at the time, it's still one of the most cringe things I have ever done and it still makes my toes curl
