Im quite pleased/relieved that neither him or John O Shea will be at Everton next year .
Don't be ridiculous, you do not stay at Man United for that length of time if your not capable. O'Shea and Brown may be deemed woeful and surplus by United fans, but they are still vastly experienced and would've provided handy squad members, they are both better than Hibbo for a start.[/QUO
Are you upset we didnt sign them? , cos if you are id find that pretty ridiculous .
Get back to talkin about how pleased you are with the signing of Charlie Adam .

How can any Everton fan at this present time be 'relieved' at not signing a player who would improve the defence as a whole ? As it stands our 'Incoming' players list come September 1st will be very short and read like a who's who of obscure European clubs, so yes the opportunity to sign some steady experience on the cheap wouldn't have gone amiss.
Of course its not the be all and end all, defensively we aren't too bad, and we can and probably will sign younger talent, my issue was with the incinuation that Brown or O'Shea are liabilities that wouldn't improve us.
out of curiosity i went on sunderlands fan forum. They are all chuffed to bits on signing O'shea (i think he is a decent signing) but strangely quiet on wes brown...I expected to see at least one thread calling for Bruce's head for that one.
Could be worse though. They could have spent a combined 60m+ on Henderson, Adam and Carroll!!
He went for 1mill not a bad signing that.
Yeah, it's pretty tough to argue that he wouldn't have value for us at that price.
For him, it will be easier getting games at Sunderland though, which may be why he's going there.
