Disagree.... no its not the time to bring those lads on.

Are you forgetting the 10 minutes in each of our previous games?

Not in the manner in which we won. Lad behave !! Compared to our other games, that 2nd half was very pleasing considering. West brom were a bag of wet wank and it was as controlled in that 2nd half as ive seen for a while.

Martinez made the right decisions today. Atsu did not need to come on. The only thing we needed today was 3 points and a clean sheet. We got that.... superb.

Today wasnt a game to give players minutes and fart around. We made those errors in the Leicester and Arsenal game... ( coleman and Atsu )
Probably the reason we didn't see Atsu today

Good game today. We weren't that great in the first half, but we held solid enough. We had more composure with Stones and Rom showed more that he is getting back to full fitness. Ossie steadied the midfield/forward line when he came on. All in all, we can can play better, but a clean sheet and a win will do wonders for confidence

Well it wasn't always pretty but it was still a win and now we can get the rest of the season underway. Lukaku scoring a magnificent bender of a goal, that was BEAUTIFUL. Hope he feels like that weight is now gone and he can continue his goal-scoring ways. Cheers to everyone.

If the reports are true and we play 4-3-3 and drop Naismith for the EL game which given he played till the end seems likely then I think we'll look a much better side.

Stones got lucky that we didn't get a penalty kick against us on that one play... and maybe Naismith was offsides but how did he miss that wide open rebound for a goal? Four goals in four matches would have been delightful for everyone's favorite Scot.

Congratulations on your victory - although I reckon the Everton under 14s could have comfortably beaten our shower of [Poor language removed] today.

The disappointing thing for me is that we never made you sweat, you probably won't have an easier game all season. We offered nothing going forward, infact, Howard was more or less a passenger and we allowed a possession based side to control and dictate the tempo of the football match. With Barry and McCarthy in the middle you were always going to control the game because none of our lot could get near them.

Anyhow, hope your season picks up and you break into the top four and ruffle the applecart. As for us, hopefully there's a couple of miracles going around because under Father Ted I think we're pretty much nailed on to go down.

Best wishes.

Your post reminds me - was impressed with the class of your supporters applauding Lukaku when he came off. Nice one.

Made up with the win,but we aren't half making things hard for ourselves at the moment, some sloppy passes through the game today that really could have put us in the soup on another day, surprisingly Barry and McCarthy have started the season quite poorly, maybe its because I'm looking at how good they were last term, they need to up their levels IMO.

Not sure how McCarthy keeps escaping criticism, was by a long way our worst player today.

Other than that a very good win against the sort of team we usually draw against.
Was he fk

Apart from that mistake at the end, he didnt put a foot wrong. Kin game were you watching.

Give over lad, you negative bell

We're alright us. Second half much better than the first.

We'll have to be better come Thursday though as Wolfsburg will test us more than they did today. Hopefully we kick on now.

Allez Allez Allez oh.
