I honestly think they would boot lumps out of James if he started tonight, think he would be better against Chelsea where he will get more space to give that killer pass.

Massive, massive game tonight. I'd be tempted to through King in as part of the front 3. Davies and Iwobi in for Allan and Gomez and then really have plenty of energy in the team. Keep James back and bring him on in 2nd half if needed

I think he's going smash-and-grab all the way. He's going to rock up and play to win on Route One counters, like he always does. It's going to be hard to grind out nine more than Brighton and the punchers of horses that way, but it's not like he can play openly with that horrid defense.

If we can get an early goal and force them to play, I think we can win comfortably. If not, it will be a turgid slog, which is just how Allardyce likes it

That's what I think he'll do, but even if it works tonight it won't work often enough for the rest of the season for them to survive.

They are a pretty poor side and he hasn't done much to change their fortunes.

We need to match them for energy early on and as you say if we can take a lead they'll then need to open up in search of two goals really. Puts the pressure on them and hopefully we can win comfortably. I think us winning by a bigger margin will give upcoming opponents something different to think about.

It's a big opportunity tonight to close the gap at the top and put distance between those below. European football feels within distance and I've excited myself by watching the 80's sides on YouTube!
