Why don't people ever say this about right footed players? "He's useless with his left foot..."

Think it's because the talent pool for right footed players is much deeper so the ones who end up playing at the top level have rounded it out a bit better to play with both feet.

Lads who favour the left get more opportunities simply because they're naturally left sided and don't have to work as much on that side of their game to get in the team as the right footed players.

Two left sided players in every team but far less than 50% of players favour their left foot.

McNeil's complete inability or unwillingness to do anything at all with his right foot makes everybody else's job so much more difficult. In the last few minutes a couple passes that were not great, but you'd expect a top division professional to be able to receive went straight to the opposition because of this.
