I hope that Don Carlo has told them in no uncertain terms how unacceptable and embarrassing last week's rancid performance was. I suppose it would be too much to hope that Iwobi and Gomes dont start today. Given Carlo's horrified expression at the majority of Gomes passes last week, Im more hopeful than usual that he wont start.

Depends how we show up today. If it’s a decent win then it suggests our away form is there and we could beat Villa away. Sheffield a United and Wolves are the two home games. Not that I’d be confident at all about them but we have a better chance against those two than just about any other teams in the league. City I’ve written off. So for me this is the absolute key game.

Id weirdly expect us to beat Villa away, especially if we have James Docuoure Allan fit. It’s the Wolves home game that troubles me. I just don’t want a draw today. If we win I’m confident we can get into some form of European football. If West Ham win they look to be in pole position for top 4 with three very winnable fixtures remaining and no distractions. A draw just punctures both teams which is why it’s probably nailed on.

Out of their mini league with Leicester and Liverpool then potentially. They’d have three very winnable fixtures left. Leicester’s are horrendous and they have a cup final plus injuries. If Liverpool lose to United West Ham would be 4 points ahead with 9 to play for and easier fixtures.
