Everton's on-loan striker Romelu Lukaku, who scored the winner after coming off the bench to make his debut, but was knocked out in the process: "I remember nothing about it. I did not even know I had scored, that was the first thing I asked the doc. I said "who scored?" He said "you".
Martinez has showed why he is well respected by the right people. Stuck by his winning 11 and showed his loyalty, then at the earliest opportunity when things could be changed sensibly...BANG....double sub, changed the whole dimension of the game. Even when we went behind he kept the formation he wanted and by Christ it paid off.
Two exquisite free kicks from Baines, the second of which was sublime, and a brave and commanding header from the beast that is Lukaku.
Goodison has got to show the Belgian that he's special to us, and just maybe if Chelsea want to spend big and only buy superstars we may be able to wrestle him from them. If he plays every game that's a good way of showing him he's wanted here.
Absolutely solid start from Roberto.....changed a lot in a short time, and retained the spirit.
Only slight negative today was Jagielka.....really off the pace for me, and has Distin to thank for covering so well.
Cracking three points, and growing optimism of something good gathering pace at Everton - I honestly think the biggest change is Roberto's positivity and optimism compared to Moyes' dour demeanour and defensive nature. That must surely rub off on the players and the freedom they feel on the pitch.
Oh, and the Sh1te losing at home was the icing on the cake.
Only unbeaten team in the Prem.....
2017.
so brave that - no way jelevic would have gone for it, and that's the difference between a goal and f. a.
He just needs to consume a virgin and he'll be right as rain again.
Leighton Baines' second half was the stuff of legend. I reckon we'll talk about the day Baines put one in either top corner for a long time.

That second free kick was absolutely ridiculous.
