Another defeat but a much brighter performance. At least there seemed an actual plan today. Stupid 2nd goal and stupid lunge from Keane put pay to any chance of at least a point. Not looking good, wed night is make or break, its a not lose game.

We defeat ourselves time after time, not the refs or the premier league. We are a big team in terms of name recognition and support, there is no reason anyone would want us out of the EPL (as opposed to nothing valueless clubs like Norwich, Burnley or Brentford). It is Everton who are dooming Everton.

I'm not gonna reel off the "mistakes" from referees over the last couple of months. But if it's genuine errors then they need to be trained better.

We're crap, but we're playing this season on hard mode against 2 teams a match.

Been doing it all season, under Benitez now under Lampard. Literally goal costing is individual errors every game. Was creeping in towards the end under Ancelotti as well.

I think, on balance, I feel better about our prospects after that match than I did before.

Don't think we are any different to be honest. He managed to someone lose to Norwich.

But the point is, if you are going to replace a manager, you get somebody in who will do a better job. What we've done is sack a failing manager and replaced him with a failing manager. We could simply have kept the first failing manager and saved ourselves the compensation.
