I think it'll be a tough match to be sure but I think they won't pose as much of a problem as Portsmouth did away.

That's the thing about Everton though. Which Everton is gonna show up? The one that bombed Sunderland 7-1 or the one that can rear it's ugly head every so often (a lot less lately) where we can't possess the ball, string two passes together, or get a shot on goal.

On current form, I'll choose the former but West Ham will be up for this and at their place, will give us a good run.

I'll go with a 1-0 win with us keeping another clean sheet.

I also think you might see Hibbert back for this match with the defensive injuries that we've had lately.

ashton is back, green in net seems on his game.

we can and i think should roll them over, but travels to the capital have often been cruel.

do we play them there twice in four days?

so did larissa.

blackburn are a bit hit and miss, cant quite pinpoint it, samba had a great game against us, that was his last really commanding game (so far as i know)

I think weather conditions and injuries will play a big part. If we can pass it round we will beat them, if its a mud bath, which the Boleyn ground often is, then we could have big problems as they are a physical team. Yesterday some of their players took bad knocks at the hands of Blackburn's shy and retiring defenders, they may be sidelined for this game(y)

I was hoping they would, nothing serious mind, just enough for them to miss our game.

i have been kinda worried about these 2 upcoming games with west ham, but thinking about it i shouldnt be.

granted , they have home advantage and we dont travel to london very well.
but comparing the 2 squads i think we have a lot more strength all over the pitch.
west ham lack a bit of quality in a lot of areas although they do have 2 or 3 rather good players.

i think the way to go at this game is 'all guns blazing ' ,

a win for us in the cup would send west ham into chaos and i think would get us a win in the second game also.

with baines and valente out ,moyes has a decision to make.
do you move lescott to lb and bring jag in the center ?
or do you move neville to lb. then who do you bring in as right back , hibbert or jags ?

i would go for 442

.............howard
hibbert yobo lescott neville
pienaar cahill carsley arteta
..............aj yak

subs ..wessels jagielka osman mcfadden anichebe

3-1 win to us.cahill lescott aj , and ashton(late consolation)being the scorers.

Well suprisingly it's totally split, all the West Ham fans think they will win it from what they've seen, and all us blues, naturally, are predicting a win. A very good 3 points against Blackburn on Sunday, but to be honest, 3 points they did not deserve. Blackburn dominated and finished the game with 10 men due to Ooijer forced off with injury, so they were slightly unlucky.
Also, I love the way Pienaar is slipping through everybody's net. Once again its the old "control Cahill & Arteta and we've won the game" (Like they will be able to stop The Best Spanaird & The Blue Kangaroo anyway! [god that was cheesy]), but to me I think we've got many options. Pienaar and Osman link up superbly, Yak is always in the right place right time, Howard is in very good form and Lescott is simply superb in every respect at the back. Not to mention bringing on Vaughan or Big Vic who always do well off the bench.

Will be tough, no doubt, but I can only see one winner for both games.
And they don't wear claret with their blue.

Honestly, if I were a West Ham fan and had seen Everton's form, I'd think that the only reason we would win is because it was a home match.

But even that won't help 'em.

Will still be a tough, tough match though. I could see it ending up just like the Portsmouth match with 0-0 as the final scoreline.
