i have been kinda worried about these 2 upcoming games with west ham, but thinking about it i shouldnt be.

granted , they have home advantage and we dont travel to london very well.
but comparing the 2 squads i think we have a lot more strength all over the pitch.
west ham lack a bit of quality in a lot of areas although they do have 2 or 3 rather good players.

i think the way to go at this game is 'all guns blazing ' ,

a win for us in the cup would send west ham into chaos and i think would get us a win in the second game also.

with baines and valente out ,moyes has a decision to make.
do you move lescott to lb and bring jag in the center ?
or do you move neville to lb. then who do you bring in as right back , hibbert or jags ?

i would go for 442

.............howard
hibbert yobo lescott neville
pienaar cahill carsley arteta
..............aj yak

subs ..wessels jagielka osman mcfadden anichebe

3-1 win to us.cahill lescott aj , and ashton(late consolation)being the scorers.

your concern of us travelling to London is an old story now, so far this season we have travel to Spurs and won 3:1 and to Chelsea and drew 1:1 with them, hardly seems we are having trouble when we are down in London?

It could be a different matter if we are suppose to play Arsenal down there though, we are talking about West Ham here man, they are nothing compare to Chelsea and Arsenal!

West Ham fans thinks they could beat us since they beat Blackburn 1:0 away from home, big deal, it was simply a tight game from both side and West Ham got lucky and went ahead and won the game, it's not as though Blackburn got beaten by couple of goals!

Bring it on West Ham if you score a goal, we would score 3 against you!

Unlikely we would be playing 4-4-2 from the start of the match when playing away, more likely it would 4-5-1 with a small changes due to Bains injure:-

.............howard
neville yobo jagielka lescott
arteta Osman carsley pienaar
...............cahill
............. yakubu

Neville has been doing pretty good with the wing support attack recently so playing behind Arteta again is the likely option, and jagielka should be given another chance to settle in the CB due to injure!

While Lescott would be given another run on the LB as his late run has been great lately, we seems to be able to depend on him to cover LB when needed!

Got to be honest I couldn't see this 5-man starting midfield change anytime soon unless there is a injure or Pienaar gone to AFNC, and it should become 4-4-2 sometime in the 2nd half with either Osman or Pienaar and Yakubu getting taken off for 2 fresh striker!

With Yakubu in such a fine form at the moment can't see him not starting in the Cup match, but at the weekend he might be given a rest on the bench!

league cup warning

although we have the best team we have had for 20 years our poor record in this mickey mouse competition does not auger well for tomorrow.I would rather see a good win on Saturday. However our record in London has been good and a win in both games is not beyond a reasonable hope but Moyes knows where the priority lies.

i know a win in the league is what moyes and most fans would prefer, but i'd love it to make it to the semi's. COYB!

Everyone knows the rules:

If we win tomorrow then its sound, a place in Europe and proof of our progress.

If we lose then its a Mickey Mouse Cup and its better to be out of it so we can focus on the league and Europe.

I think this is why Moyes has an approach of taking it a game at a time, there is no need to worried if we win tomorrow, our chance of winning at the weekend as well, would still be the same!

Doing well in the league is without a doubt the most important thing, and recently we have make up the lost of point!

West Ham at home has only beaten Sunderland & Middlesbrough, drew with Wigan, Bolton & Spurs and lost to Man City and Arsenal!

Wow, they have beaten Sunderland and Middlesbrough at home as if we didn't beat them at home, while we have beaten Bolton, Spurs and Wigan already when they could only manage a draw, hardly sound like a team we couldn't beat twice in 4 days!

One things I am amaze of, is how confident West Ham fans are, thinking they could beat us with that sort of home record, they need to wake up and look at the reality!

The only path they are going down are two big defeat inflicted by us!
