I doubt it would happen but I wouldn't be surprised if Arteta started on the bench for Saturday.

Devil says taken off early in the second half Bill which is worth consideration as i think he's a bit jaded. As for the Yak, run the legs off the bugger, he'll be Nigerias problem in January:lol:

I think he should still start Arteta and Cahill, they'll get a midweek break - whether or not they did well last night (which they didnt) they are still probably a couple of our best players.

Rotation is one thing but we have the likes of Tommy G sitting on his arse and not getting on, him and VIc should get some showing on Saturday

Thank god I'm not the manager, certainly some players need to rest, but I dont know who I'd choose - its a very important game this weekend.

In all honesty its back to business on Saturday, it is a very important game, West Ham will be wondering what went wrong hence a change of their game plan is likely. In essence Saturdays match is more important than last night(y) (y)

I'd change it up completely just to shake West Ham's ideas up, rest Cahill or Arteta for the first half, play AJ and Victor up front - and then see where we are at half time in the game and with fitness for the players on the field.

Despite Arteta not taking control of the game, he got through a tremendous amount of work (in one example he sprinted back from the edge of one penalty area to the other to cover) and put some decent balls in.

I have no idea what two hands above the head means when he is taking a corner, though (although that may be the idea). It doesn't seem to make any difference if it is going near-post, far-post or to the edge of the box.

He always does it, maybe it means hes about to take the corner, be prepared for a firey perfect heighted ball to bang beyond their goalkeeper

As I said earlier on in the thread, how Barry Horne on 97.6 can say numerous times Pienaar should have shot for Osmans goal is beyond me...

Yakubus is an absolute classic  what a mix up but to be fair, he still had a job to do and a cool finish.

great links, now I get to see the first goal that I miss, what a goal it was!

I think the commentator though in this situation the player with the ball normally get a shot in and get block, but our Pienaar is better than that, he pull 3 of there defender in and find Osman and he drive the ball through the gap and in you go, beautiful goal and Green has no chance!

Yakubu one was a surprise or no one know what's going on at first, the image was too far out and we suddenly saw the ball went through the keeper and defender and drop in front of Yak, and he wasted no time and poke it in like any good striker!

This goal prove yet again Yak is a natual goal scorer, believe it or not alot of Striker mess up these chance!
