What are you currently listening to?

Embryo's Opal on CD is too rare & expensive so I settled for Steig Aus, which is fine energetic fusion jam tho' lacking the structure of earlier works:

Miles Davis was a keen Embryo listener, he's quoted as saying "That German hippy group where Mal Waldron used to play; they are doing interesting things. You know, man? They are good musicians, just playing good shiz!"

Yo Darren.

I think you might be right about Pinkerton being slightly superior to the Blue album. It's like comparing Nevermind to In Utero, the latter is the better album but Nevermind is the hit factory. It had like 5 singles and could've comfortably had another 3 or 4. I think every song on the blue album apart from maybe Holiday and Only in Dreams could be a single. But Pinkerton is just a better Rivers performance both lyrics and vocally. I think it's just personal preference between two absolute 10's for different reasons though. Only another 10ish albums to dig into now.

I listened to Blue yesterday for the first time in a while. And thought as you say, Blue is collect of some great songs but Pinkerton feels like much more of an album.

Anyone listened to the new Foals album? I lost interest as I thought their last two albums paled in comparison to Antodotes and the wonderful Total Life Forever.
Haven't had time to listen to it all the way through but I liked the single they released before the album came out.
Opposite for me, 3 and 4 are their best imo. Fell in love with them when Holy Fire came out.
