I've actually got the Family LP version of this after listening to it on the Steve Walsh show on Radio London on Sunday evening in a cold autumn 1985. First time hearing the Prince version 34 years later.

When I was younger, I was an indie kid in the 00's and I always found it weird how people were against it. I used to stick up for it all the time. Arctic Monkeys, Jenny Lewis, Wilco.

In reality the 00's were awful for indie. I started to listen to mainly electronic music (and Nick Cave).

So when a band come out as good as Big Thief, I am please they stop me dismissing my past love. It's all about the front person
