The guy I'm talking about is exactly the same, played in blues bands in Belgium, then in London in the mid/late 60s. Knows and has played with absolutely everybody, not a flashy player but very expressive. He says Rory Gallagher was the best player he ever knew (and got him into Guinness.)

So when a band come out as good as Big Thief, I am please they stop me dismissing my past love. It's all about the front person
