The album is called WOW...and this track fulfills that description....not representative of the whole album (which is reccomended) but one of my all time favourite electric blues tracks. Must have been done in one take imo as the whole band nails an emotional dynamic, topped off by some incendiary lead guitar from Jerry Miller...

Buddy of mine posted on Facebook about how underrated Robert Palmer was. So I went back and listened to some stuff and then realized he wrote Johnny & Mary and released it in 1980. I love the Todd Terje/Bryan Ferry version so was very interesting to go back and listen to both. I think the Terje/Ferry version actually suits the lyrics more but they're both great.
