What are you currently listening to?



Can't stop listening to Yaga Yaga by a Ghanian singer called Wiyaala.

Annoyingly there doesn't seem to be any video for it at all on youtube.

This is as close as I could get.

The music is tremendous. Quite a big deal in Africa allegedly.

I've put on Ben Jovis bad medicine to kick start my day the last couple of mornings. I can only think it's cheesey upbeat kick is a reaction to lockdown and nostalgia for many a night in a rock bar.

As I`ve got older, I`ve developed a fondness for stuff that my younger self would`ve ran a mile from, in particular Pat Benatar and Heart.

You don`t really appreciate how good the music is, until you look beyond the big hair, shoulder pads and star shaped guitars lol

It's a great point re: image. Funny how we get caught up in sone form of odd tribal scene with an associated look in our youth.

Step back and ultimately most pop and rock styling can be classed under one of scruff, tit, or weirdo.

It's all about the sounds, maaaan
