Another that I instantly thought was a banger

Youtube compilations and spotify playlists are the place to come across stuff I would never have heard otherwise.

Admittedly there is a lot of music that doesn't do it for me but that's what the forward button is for

Like 'Sap' it was an EP, for all intents and purposes...not an album like ' Dirt', their best record.

Thought these were going to be massive.

Yep, great track but it all kind of fizzled out for them after Chadwick & Bickers went their separate ways (IIRC they really couldn't stand each other at that time, and the later reunion happened long after their moment had passed). Also didn't help that their first two albums had the same title - cue lots of confused punters in record shops. Bickers' Levitation stuff was always interesting.

Dirt is a great LP, but it's just too relentlessly grim to listen to that much. I go back to Jar of Flies way more often.

Terry Bickers is kind of a great lost talent. He's one of my favourite guitarists, he should be rated up there with John Squire, Nick McCabe, Bernard Butler and the like. Lovely bloke, too.

The records he made with Pete Fijalowski from Adorable a few years back are well worth your time, if you've not already heard them.
